Recently, the National Natural Science Foundation of China published the List of 2023 Fundemental Research Projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China for Young Doctoral Students. Zhenghao Liu, a 2022-grade doctoral student majoring in data science of our School, won the funding.

The project applied by Zhenghao Liu was Co-evolution Mechanism of Information Diffusion and Risk Contagion in Stock Market Driven by Social Knowledge Map, and the instructor is Professor Feicheng Ma. From the perspective of knowledge correlation, this project puts forward and constructs a "social knowledge map", aiming at establishing the dynamic correlation between investor information interaction and institutional risk contagion, modeling and analyzing the co-evolution mechanism between them, so as to realize enterprise-oriented risk intelligent identification and systematic risk monitoring for regulatory agencies, and provide more comprehensive and diversified management decision-making basis and realistic solutions for relevant institutions.

The Fundemental Research Projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China for Young Doctoral Students was first set up in 2023, aiming at supporting doctoral students to choose their own research direction to carry out fundemental research and interdisciplinary research within the scope of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, and focusing on cultivating their ability to carry out scientific research independently.

The project assessment adopts the mode of "recommendation+review", and the funded projects are finally determined through various steps, such as application, university-level selection and recommendation, peer review organized by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, and review by meeting.

Our School attached great importance to the application organization of this project. School motivated doctoral students who met the application qualification in the whole School to apply after the project was officially launched, and invited experts to review and modify the application for many times to improve the application quality and provide full support for doctoral students. Our School will, as always, encourage and support outstanding doctoral students to apply for the funding in subsequent years.
